| I have used this product for a few years now. The 4 oz size is small for the price you pay, but it last a long time. I don't use it every day, so that helps. I rub it in my hair before wrapping it at night. The next morning my hair is soft and smooth without feeling greasy. Some people say that the smell is too strong, but I like it and I don't usually like any strong scents. |

| I'm a white girl with medium-bodied curly hair (3B) and as a recent convert to the Curly Girl method, I was tasked to find natural products without silicones that held my problematic curls in July in Kentucky. Yeah right. I ordered the hair butter along with Carol's Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey, 8 oz. and I just want to sing from the rooftops how pleased I am. I used about a quarter-sized dollop, as well as a tiny bit of the hair honey, after wringing my hair out post-shower and I let my hair air dry as normal. Holy cow, my hair is awesome!! It's soft, shiny (neither of which happen often) and the curls are tighter and lighter than I've ever known. This product is probably not best for those with fine or straight hair, and the scent is strong and could be off-putting to some (though I love earthy scents and I loved the smell of this). Next time I'll probably use a little less of both only because they're a bit expensive for my college student budget. You really don't need much of this product at all--my hair is at my bra strap and is thick and full and I hardly had to use any. Can't wait until my Giovanni Hair Care - Styling L.A. Natural Gel, 8.5 fl oz gel arrives so I can have beautiful, natural curls on lock all summer long! |

I love it. I have tried many "natural hair" products and quite frankly, this one is the only one that softens my dense 4a/4b hair. It gives my natural hair a beautiful shine...and for us natural haired girls this is a must. I like for my 2-strand twists to have a little weight to them and hang a little. This product does all of the above with a slight hold. If your hair is the 3 texture, this will not work for you; it will be too heavy. You will need the hair milk or the elixir.
As for the scent, well, it's not the best; it's not fruitty. But it is strong. Almost a vitamin smell. But that's the least of my worries. I'd rather have pretty, moisturized natural hair then a jar of perfumed wax. |

| I bought this and the healthy hair butter for my own hair, but ended up selling it to my mom for her to use on my nephews' hair. It smells like a (very nice) men's fragrance to me, and the smell is very strong, but it is also very moisturizing and good for the hair, so i give it 4/5 stars. |
